We are pleased to host Uruguayan biotechnology engineer, María Pía Campot, as part of the U.S. Department of State’s Young Leaders of Americas Initiative (YLAI) program in Jan-Feb 2021.

Hailing from Mondevideo, Uruguay, Pía is Co-Founder & Chief Business Officer of Enteria, a biotech start-up microbiome company. Enteria specializes in the analysis of the human gut microbiome and is developing innovative services that bring together all the scientific information about a gut microbiome and how it relates to a person’s health.

YLAI empowers entrepreneurs to strengthen their capacity to launch and advance their entrepreneurial ideas and effectively contribute to social and economic development in their communities. Since the initiative’s launch in 2015, more than 750 YLAI Fellows from Latin America and the Caribbean have expanded their leadership and entrepreneurial experience through fellowships at businesses and organizations across the United States. Through the YLAI Entrepreneurial Leadership Curriculum and individualized professional placements, YLAI Fellows have accelerated their commercial and social ventures’ success and developed specific action plans to implement upon return to their home countries. YLAI Fellows built networks, linkages, and lasting partnerships to attract investments and support for their entrepreneurial ventures.

We encourage microbiome researchers and individuals in the microbiome industry to connect with Pía directly if you want to meet her and exchange ideas. Reach Pía on LinkedIn HERE.
